Membership Standards
To carry the Proudly Canadian Fièrement Canadien™ seal, a business must meet four foundational commitments:
1. Local Content
At least 50% of production costs must occur in Canada. Substantial transformation required for imports. Workforce must be ≥60% Canadian.
2. High Quality
Products must meet measurable quality standards. Compliance with certifications like ISO, HACCP, or CSA where applicable.
3. Fair Labour
Strict compliance with labour laws. Safe, fair, and ethical working conditions. No businesses from the ESDC blacklist.
4. Environmental
Active efforts to reduce impact: responsible waste management, recycling, carbon reduction, and sustainable sourcing.
